Name That Rivalry!
Ole Miss Rivalry Game Suggestions
Dear Football Fans,
The rivalry that exists between LSU and Ole Miss has been as fierce as any
in the country, marked by highlights like Billy Cannon's game-winning
89-yard punt return in 1959 and Dwayne Bowe's game-tying touchdown catch in
2006.
Soon, the rivalry will become official, and the Southeastern Conference foes
will have additional incentive to leave their best stuff on the field.
Beginning next season, the Ole Miss Rebels and the LSU Tigers will
participate in an official rivalry game. The Tigers will host the first
edition of the rivalry game on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Tiger Stadium.
In a joint effort between the Student Governments at LSU and Ole Miss, the
idea for the rivalry concept will be tossed up to the student bodies. Student
fans can brainstorm ideas for the prize the winner will receive. In effect,
the name of the prize will also become the name of the game.

Suggestions will be received through Saturday April 5.
