Legislative Committees - Governmental Relations

The Committee on Governmental Relations has the widest jurisdiction of the six standing committees, and is both centrally-focused and externally-focused. Primarily, the Governmental Relations Committee deals with any communication, petition, relation, or action from Student Government and the LSU Student Body to governing entities on the local, state, and federal levels as well as student bodies and student governments of other institutions of higher education. Secondary duties include the public relations of Student Government, College Council affairs considered by the Senate, student groups and organizations, entertainment events and organizations, and Free Speech Plaza.

The GR Committee meets at 7:30pm on Monday nights in the International Room of the Union.
